PTA’s new gazebo at Sunnyland will be solar powered

Sunnyland Elementary School’s Parent Teacher Association stepped up once again to create an enduring addition to the school grounds. Sunnyland parent Ted Clifton, who runs local home-building company TC Legend Homes, led construction of a gazebo next to Sunnyland’s playground. Allied Arts partnership brings art to fifth grade classrooms

Through one of the partnerships with Allied Arts of Whatcom County, teaching artists worked with fifth grade classrooms. Each class received up to 12 hours of arts education that focused on one theme.
