James Yoos, science teacher at Bellingham High School, was one of 13 new members added to the Achieve Science Peer Review Panel in March 2018. The panel is designed to expand their work in evaluating lessons designed for the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
According to the Achieve press release, out of 300 applicants, these new members demonstrated extensive knowledge of the NGSS and a critical eye for high-quality materials designed for the NGSS. These new members will join the network of 38 other educators, so they can build a powerful community and share ideas and resources. The peer reviewers play a major role in advancing science education across the country.
