Sehome seniors sign steel beam for new school

Seniors at Sehome High School were surprised this week with an invitation to the construction site to sign a steel beam that will be installed in the new school. Dawson construction halted work so students could safely enter the site.

“We wanted to give the seniors a chance to leave their mark on the new school since they will graduate before its completion,” Principal Michelle Kuss-Cybula said. “We asked them to write words of wisdom to the future Mariners.”

After students signed the beam, they thanked crew members with Dawson for the opportunity and took a few moments to admire the steel structure rising behind them, which will be part of the new gym.
