National Signing Day for District Athletes

Five student athletes from Squalicum High School and two from Sehome High School took part in National Signing Day and plan to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.
All seven student athletes have excelled in the classroom and in their development as athletes.

The Sehome students are soccer player Kristina Funk headed to Central Washington University and volleyball player Jessica Ganow headed to Skagit Valley Community College.

The Squalicum students are soccer player Kendra Steele headed to the University of Portland; swimmer Sydney Wong headed to the University of San Diego; basketball player Damek Mitchell headed to Lewis and Clark State; football player Ben Peterson headed to the Air Force Academy; and football player Jack Wendling headed to Central Washington University.

The students took part in National Signing Day event at their school on Feb. 1.
