Jeff McKenna named as 2016 Peace Builder Award recipient

Every year, the Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center acknowledges individuals, groups and organizations through their annual Peace Builder Awards.

In 2016, Jeff McKenna, prevention specialist in Bellingham Public Schools, was honored with the Youth Education Award at their Nov. 18 Peace Builder Awards Gala.

McKenna, through the program MAD-HOPE, received the award for “equipping youth with the tools and resources for courageous and compassionate conversations about youth suicide.”
