The Summer 2015 Promise Academy spanned 4 weeks and included 60 soon-to-be fourth grade students in Bellingham Public Schools. The academy focused on a variety of reading and writing activities in four classrooms to support students academically during the summer break. Eight middle school students from Bellingham Public Schools received scholarships from the Bellingham Chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) to attend the Tech Trek summer camp at Pacific Lutheran University in July 2015.
